League Offerings:
Below is a list of leagues offered at the Cube with a brief description.  For more in-depth experience guidelines please refer to “Appendix 1” located in the League Rules.

"B" Leagues (Mondays/Thursdays):   He/she is a very experienced player with a full understanding of the game.  Skills have been refined and the player has likely played organized hockey at least through high school if not some form of club and/or junior league.

"C" League (Tuesdays/Saturdays): He/she is an experienced player who also has an understanding of team play and positioning. Forward and backward skating skills are strong with good maneuverability and transition .He/she might be an experienced adult recreational player and/or may have played up to high school in the past.

"D1" League (Tuesdays/Saturdays): He/she may be a less experienced adult recreational player with some youth hockey playing experience up to the Bantam house level. The player has limited understanding of where they should be positioned on the ice. Forward and backward skating may be somewhat strong, but maneuverability and finishing skill still need work.

"D2" League (Wednesdays/Sundays): This player may have three or more years of playing experience mainly as an adult. He/she is showing improvement and comfort with the basic skills of the game. Forward skating has improved, but transitions are still uncomfortable i.e. crossovers with some ability to skate backwards.

Friday/Saturday Leagues [FS1/FS2] (Fridays/Saturdays):

  • FS1: Similar to “D1” in terms of team make-up, experienced recreational players make up the core of this level of play.
  • FS2: With multiple tiers, F2 incorporates teams in taking the next sequential step up from Never Ever all the way to teams on the higher end of the D2 player classification.
Never Ever League (Fridays/Saturdays): This player is a beginner in the truest sense of the word. He/she has begun playing the game as an adult and may only have up to three years of playing experience. The basic skills of the game i.e. skating, shooting, and passing are in their infancy and are the main focus of their development.
